Premiere Pro and After Effects

These notes give an overview of using premiere pro. You can use any footge but you now have access to the W: Drive containing various footage.

The links to the left contain the practical notes for using Premiere Pro CS4. The are sequential in order and cover areas following areas:

Week 1:Introduces you to the interface and covers importing media into projects

Week 2: Looks at editing techniques within premiere pro.

Week 4: You are required to put your editing skills to the test.

Week 7: Looks at Video transitions and effects

Week 8: Looks at the using the sony cameras and capturing.

Week 9: Looks at multi-camera editing and adjusting speed
Week 10: Looks at audio in premiere pro.

Week 11: Not really premiere but using Audition to capture voice overs.

Week 12: Looks at editing video footage and applying effects in Photoshop (yes it is more than just stills)

Week 13: Looks at Colour Grading within Premiere Pro

Week 14: Exporting from Premiere to Encore to burn to DVD

Week 15: looks at using after effects to create simple compositions and introduces animation techniques focusing on text.

Week 16: Creating fire, masks and painting in after effects

Week 17: Audio and Motion Tracking

Week 18: Green Screen

Week 22: Exporting from After Effects to Flash CS5 (updated)
